Project Preview: [new] Modernism in Huntington Beach

Here's a first look at initial design sketches and preliminary drawings for a new project on the boards- a modernist addition and renovation in Huntington Beach, California.

These early sketches represent a reimagined open floor plan oriented towards the landscape and views to the rear, with an open loft,  additional bedroom and expanded master suite at the upper level addition.

Early elevation design concepts take inspiration from East Coast mid-century residential architecture, particularly the Hollin Hills community in the D.C. area, designed by architect Charles Goodman in the 1940's.
