New work from photographer Fong Qi Wei captures the passage of time in a mesmerizing and unexpected collection of GIF animations, featuring cityscapes, skylines and buildings at different times throughout the day.

The continuously looping format underscores  sense of rhythm, time, and light captured in the original series of still photographs, Time is a Dimension.

With the added dimension of movement, the 'Time in Motion' visualizations display some of the most innovative applications of GIFs we've seen; Glassy Sunset, below, is a favorite.
