Architectural Inspiration: Tadao Ando

Tadao Ando's work has been called an 'architecture of silence', a reference to the timeless quality achieved through the Japanese architect's thoughtful consideration of form, light and geometry.

A formal progression through space, informed by nature and realized through the careful application of materials, is fundamental to Ando's work, and this concept is beautifully illustrated in a private ranch designed for Tom Ford at a 24,000 acre site in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
