For a bit of mid-week inspiration, here's another of our favorite architectural mapping projects, bringing historic architecture to life digitally with sound, projection, movement and light.

From creator Diez, the video below is a preview entry for the 2010 French national cultural event 'Imaginez Maintenant'; the location is the Metz railway station, built in 1908 and a registered historic monument in France since 1975. If you're having trouble with the display, click here to view the film on the web.

This preview has been created to respond to a call for project video on the Metz station, under the national project "Imaginez Maintenant". The latter was the winner, but unfortunately to be abandoned following a budgetary restriction. I propose you still here! It's pretty fascinating to see today's digital technology applied to such historic sites, creating a new way of visualizing and re-imagining places, while transforming a public space into a unique, beautiful and innovative multimedia art installation.

View more projects online, and hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
