Black, White and Walnut: A Modern Master Bath
Materials and finishes that create a sense of movement, while bringing warmth and texture, are important design elements to incorporate when developing minimal architectural interiors.
Particularly at utility spaces like kitchens and baths, where performance and durability are as important as aesthetics, product selection is a key consideration.
We've addressed adding warmth with wood details at a previous post, and the same concept of textural balance is also central at this recently completed renovation in Orange, Ca.
A mix of bold black and white porcelain tile is balanced by the subtle variation and luminous quality of the natural walnut floating vanity. Custom mirrors and glazing, linear lighting and hardware, along with wall-mounted faucets, highlight the contrasting wall and floor finishes.
New project photos will be coming soon; view a previous construction update here, and view additional kitchen + bath posts at MYD blog.
