This new project, coming soon to Bluebird Canyon, maintains the overall architectural massing of the original split-level modernist bungalow, with new finishes and contemporary materials, along with an expanded rear deck to maximize canyon and ocean views at the sloping site.

At the interior, our new floor plan relocates the existing kitchen and dining room to create an open living space, as well as to provide for increased functionality and flexibility. Reconfigured bathrooms and master suite at the downstairs bedroom level maximize existing square footage at the compact building footprint.

Material and finish upgrades throughout seek to bring a cohesive character that reflects the original modern design by Laguna Beach architect Chris Abel, while creating a home that responds to the functional needs and aesthetic preferences of the 21st century.
