Greetings from MYD!

We posted on the Erosion Sink by Gore Design a few months ago, and this week- now that installation is complete- we're back with some recent images, and it looks absolutely beautiful.

The extensive span of concrete is supported at each end and set several inches away from the steel-framed onyx wall (which is difficult to see in these photos; click the link for a better image...) that allows filtered light to illuminate the space. This detail enhances the intriguing 'floating mass' effect of the concrete, truly a work of art.

The wood element that wraps over the sink serves to hide the pipes and plumbing connections to the floor. By incorporating a dark-stained walnut used throughout the home, an element of continuity is added in the context of this very unique and beautifully sculptural space...
