The expanded floor plan adds square footage at both floors, allowing for two new bedrooms at the rear of the existing home, an open living room and kitchen at the front, and an updated and enlarged master bedroom and bath upstairs.

Initial design concepts explore opportunities to maximize the efficiency and development potential at the compact site, while maintaining existing structural and design elements where possible.

The associated exterior elevation drawings illlustrate a modern design aeshetic and playful material palette of wood siding at varying scales, highlighting the coastal cottage details within the context of new contemporary spaces.
