Inside the Walt Disney Concert Hall
We recently enjoyed a performance of the LA Philharmonic at Frank Gehry's iconic building in downtown Los Angeles- the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Always impressive, both acoustically and aesthetically, the interior space beautifully marries form and function with a rich textural palette of sculptural wood wall and ceiling panels that serve as a lovely juxtaposition to the stainless steel curves at the facade's well-known exterior.
Just outside the upper level lobby is an unexpected garden and favorite spot, where visitors can interact with the building and landscape elements during intermission.
At the lower lobby, wood-clad curvilinear columns lead guests upwards and towards the main volume while the entry levels engages the streetscape and mimics the movement of the steel-clad exterior.
