Interior Architecture + Design
Architecture is often evaluated from an exterior perspective- for example, how it is perceived by the public realm and the means by which it relates to an existing site and contributes to the built environment.
Indeed, how a design responds to its surroundings and context is of key importance, but building form is also strongly influenced by the interior spaces- a client's program, the functional needs of that program, and any spatial requirements or preferences. Interior architecture is a critical component in the overall design of a building in order to provide for a complete and integrated experience.
With technology and tools available today, architects and designers are capable of conveying ideas and design solutions to clients and stakeholders in a way that translates beyond the two-dimensional realm, and interior renderings are often part of this communication process.
