With much of the construction work for Phase I of our Mission Viejo remodel completed, we've been sourcing, designing and selecting furnishings, lighting fixtures and products for the newly renovated Orange County residence.

With my camera or iPhone almost always on hand (and a penchant for high-contrast black + white photography), I recently started a series of photos of these finish design elements.

Though the photos do convey materiality, finish and form, they tend to serve more as photographic explorations of texture and geometry as seen from a more abstract perspective...
