It takes a (gingerbread) village...

Over the weekend, we were delighted to participate in the creation of a Gingerbread Village, to be donated to a children's hospital for the holidays. What better way to celebrate than with a sweet and colorful ensemble of creative designs, complete with canals (the construction took place in Venice, CA) and an Apple Store?

Though it's hard to see in this image, MYD's first official gingerbread house is located at a prime spot on the waterfront, across the canal from the Apple Store and adjacent to the protected wild gingerbread-man habitat; the flat roof and cantilever might give it away.

We're already planning for next year's design, but in the meanwhile, happy holidays and best wishes from MYD!
