Highlights from MYD's project in Villa Park: contemporary master bath details...

The new master suite features a rain shower and freestanding tub located in a fully-tiled wet room, raised a few steps from floor level to enable views while preserving privacy.

With a skylight and multiple windows of varying sizes bringing ample daylight into the space, great importance was placed on maintaining the clean, contemporary aesthetic in the context of a minimalist material palette.

To do so, we used large-format porcelain tiles, carefully placed with regard to the openings, window locations and wall plane intersections, installed with tight grout joints and mitered corners at all edges, stairs and windows.
