For any fans of public art and/or timelapse photography, a great collaborative stop motion sculpture was recently animated in Melbourne's Federation Square this past May.

Created by art & design practice ENESS and photographed over a two-week period, the work consists of a moving sculpture of twenty-one dynamic triangles, juxtaposed alongside the timelapse of people interacting with the piece and moving through the public space.

Just over a minute, is resulting film is pretty amazing.

As recently described in Frame:

As a public art installation that mixes art with technology, MÖBIUS has the ability to be positioned in various patterns and formations. This allows the geometric sculpture to behave as if each piece were dissolving and reforming through the ground and back up again.
