A Modern Kitchen Update: New project photos

An updated floor plan layout, carefully selected materials, and a modern cottage aesthetic are the key design elements at this recently completed contemporary kitchen renovation in nearby Laguna Woods.

To open the space, we removed the main wall between the kitchen and the living room, while enclosing a secondary opening at the entry. This allowed for a heightened sense of space, as well as increased access to natural light from the kitchen. 

Revising the layout within the kitchen further highlights this sense of openness, with the new refrigerator location creating a larger functional workspace, incorporating full-height storage at the existing wall. 

Opposite, revised floor plan allows for more countertop space adjacent to the the new Bosch induction cooktop, while glass upper cabinets at either side create visual interest and enhance the new open kitchen aesthetic.

Custom wine storage at the dining room side of the new peninsula island adds function and storage at the new open floor plan, while beautiful soapstone countertops add texture, movement and dimensionality to the space.
