Modern Art + Analog Activities: Frank Stella puzzle time-lapse
With extra time indoors lately, we’ve turned to one of our favorite analog activities that brings modern art into our living room… puzzles!
For this recent time-lapse, we selected a favorite work that combines geometry, color and form in a minimalist context- Frank Stella’s 1970 painting Firuzabad.
At 750 pieces and a completed size of about 24” by 16”, the puzzle incorporates a curved design of overlapping circles in beautiful hues; in spite of the unique shape, it is relatively straightforward to assemble.
Purchase one at the MoMA store, and for more modern art puzzling, revisit our time-lapse of Yayoi Kusama’s Pumpkin.
