With the holidays behind us and the move to our new office almost complete, January is off to a running start, and we're looking forward to completing work currently in progress and sharing some great new projects on the boards.

So, here's a quick preview of what's in store for MYD studio in the first few months of the new year...

Under Construction: Villa Park Addition

Since the most recent update, there has been quite a bit of progress at the site of our Villa Park project. Installation of the cedar siding is complete and ready for finishing this week, along with application of a smooth stucco finish at the rest of the renovated exterior. Inside, flooring and cabinetry are being installed, with fixtures and finishes soon to follow; keep an eye out for a more details and new photos, as we near our anticipated completion date at the end of January.

Preparing for submittal: Mission Viejo Remodel

Additional ongoing work includes this remodel in Mission Viejo, where the existing interior of the single family residence will be updated with a more contemporary aesthetic and increased functionality. With construction documents underway in preparation for submittal to the city, we'll be adding renderings and more information at our project design page in the very near future.

Design: Laguna Niguel Mid-Century Modern

The renovation of a mid-century modern home in Laguna Niguel, just a few miles from our contemporary cottage in South Laguna Beach, is currently in the design phase with a 3D model under construction and renderings to come soon. A great example of modern residential architecture in Southern California, we're very excited about this project and will be sharing drawings and more details in upcoming posts.

Also on the boards for 2013 are several ongoing projects, including Phase 2 of our Mission Viejo remodel and construction updates from the site in Fullerton. Other office developments, such as a new website and the official opening of our new studio in Aliso Viejo, are on the horizon.
