On the Boards in Irvine...

In preparation for an upcoming submittal, a new project has been added to our on-the-boards portfolio- a residential renovation and addition in nearby Irvine, Ca.

An expansion to an existing single-family home, the reimagined space increases the living area, with careful consideration given to light and views. Bifolding doors, operable windows and circulation in and through the spaces have been located to maximize functionality and enhance the relationship to the exterior.

Preliminary exterior elevation designs feature a minimalist palette of smooth white stucco and stone, and will incorporate a clean approach to detailing reflective of the contemporary architectural design at the interior.

The new layout incorporates an enlarged, open kitchen with ample space for entertaining, as well as a custom music room at the front of the home, where the relocated entry frames an expansive view to the landscape and cityscape beyond.
