For this addition and renovation in nearby San Juan Capistrano, our initial design sketches explore the potential at this single level ranch home, sited on a unique property surrounded by eucalyptus groves and sloping terrain.

We’re seeking to increase the indoor-outdoor connection throughout the family home, while providing for both aesthetic continuity and maximized functionality at the generous site.

A modern take on simple vernacular forms, our initial concepts bring volume to the interior though variation in ceiling heights, while a corresponding exterior changes add architectural articulation and movement.
