From the Studio // Recent progress renderings convey concept development for our contemporary reinterpretation of a California ranch home in nearby San Juan Capistrano.

The proposed addition and renovation to this single-level home updates the exterior with natural materials and textural elements while reconfiguring the interior spaces for cohesion and continuity, emphasizing a strong connection to the beautiful landscape and site surroundings.

The design combines new architectural massing with both flat and sloping roof systems, which serve to delineate space, provide for visual interest and create a sense of scale and proportion at the large single family residence.

A palette of vertical cedar, smooth stucco and dark brick reflect the tones and textures of the coastal location and vernacular aesthetic of the surrounding equestrian community.
