Vernacular Dwellings: Igloo Design
We're taking a glimpse into the history and construction of one the ultimate forms of vernacular design- the Igloo. We'll look at how and where this building typology is used and address points of interest that still resonate today as models for how to approach sustainable design and historical precedent.
As we continue to improve sustainable design strategies, looking back at how humans provided themselves with shelter can inform our understanding of how to best address site conditions.
