More modern wood details: Wall*nut XL medicine cabinets

A recent post looked at modern bath design and 'adding warmth with wood details' and we're revisiting the same project in San Clemente to share another interior feature that highlights the warmth of this natural material in the context of a contemporary bath space.

A pair of asymmetrical wood-framed mirrors were recently installed at this modern master bath, creating a unique sculptural element at the extended vanity.  Designed and built in Brooklyn by design studio, ThinkFabricate, each built-in medicine cabinet, set within the 5 inch solid American walnut frames, provides for ample storage, and at 72 by 24 inches overall, the oversized mirrors are well-proportioned with eased corners, and serve to beautifully resolve above-counter storage issues.

The warm tones complement the new quartz slab at the floating cherry cabinets below, finished with minimal wall-mounted faucets at each of the two rectangular vessel sinks.

Many thanks to Jason and the team at ThinkFabricate for this unique design element that adds warmth, texture and depth to the space; for more information on the Wall*nut XL medicine cabinet and other products, stop by their site.
