Happy 135th Birthday to a favorite architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, whose work continues to influence and shape architecture today…

We had the chance to visit one of his most well-known projects, the Edith Farnsworth House, several years ago. This small glass and steel structure, one of the most significant residential buildings of the modernist movement, was completed in 1951 in Plano, Illinois, and remains an innovative and critical example of the minimalism and the International Style.
