Heading Upstairs: portfolio preview

We're heading upstairs to the Master Bedroom + Bath to share a few recent renderings for our project in Fullerton, Orange County.
The main public spaces at the first level feature sliding glass walls that allow the living room to open completely towards the view. At the upstairs level, the same design approach and considerations guided the layout, with the Master Suite taking advantage of its location and orientation to optimize views, employ passive heating strategies, and increase light, air and ventilation.

And the Pritzker goes to...

Congrats to architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, this year's Pritzker Prize Laureate- a distinction honoring the work of the world's most influential living architects.  Only the second Portugese architect selected for the award, Souto de Moura is a relatively new name to most of us;  however, the departure from the expected on behalf of the jury is a refreshing one, and we look forward to learning more about Souto de Moura's work.
